A SCARCE .705 FLINTLOCK HEAVY CAVALRY-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1805, with round iron 9in. barrel (frosted externally), the breech signed 'E. BAKER & SON' (rubbed) together with London commercial proofs, small crescent fore-sight, rounded top-tang (top-nail replaced), plain military-style lock with squared bar and signed 'E. Baker & SON' below the pan, walnut full-stock (fore-end expertly repaired, stock cracked in antiquity), heavy brass furniture (butt-cap nail replaced) and flat fronted nose-cap with iron stirrup captive ramrod
